Lockdown Web Projects

Helping Businesses Bounce Back with Affordable Website Solutions

A wide range of businesses have approached us during and post-lockdown – from startups and SMEs to more established companies – either looking to establish or improve their online presence, or in some cases, to take their physical product or service offering and make it more of a virtual experience. Here’s a quick look at a small selection of these projects, where the client was looking for a cost-effective website solution without compromising the quality of the user experience.

UX Audit & Website Redesign

Our friends and fellow ‘Small Business Sunday’ winners OM Health & Wellbeing have been offering specialist consultancy services to schools and businesses for 3 years now. OM’s previous website had served them well, but the brand story had evolved so the site was in need of an update.

We inherited the visual identity (logo and colour palette) as Annie and Sue were happy with them, but we adjusted the tones slightly to make them feel more contemporary and to better complement each other. Our main tasks were to overhaul the information architecture to improve the user journey and site navigation, add trust signals and credentials, and focus more attention on OM’s core service offerings, with a particular focus on case studies for social proof. We also created an expanded knowledge hub to help establish Annie and Sue’s expertise while showcasing the wealth of content they’re creating, including podcasts, videos and blogs.

A New Website Optimised for Lead Generation

Guardian Energy has been providing business energy consultancy services for almost 20 years, but its website needed a jolt of new energy to revitalise the brand. The original brief was to simplify the existing site, which had become a little unwieldy over the years, creating a simple landing page with a lead generation form, but we felt there was more of a story to tell and more we could do from an SEO perspective.

Again, we inherited the brand identity, but we made some slight tweaks to the logo to modernise it and dialled in the aquamarine to improve readability. Trust and credibility are key in this sector so while the site is very simple and minimalist, we set out to portray an image of expert consultants who really know their stuff, with specific services clearly defined and multiple ‘make an enquiry’ options.

Brand Identity, Web Design & Social Media Strategy

Gordon’s Bay Blinds & Shutters is a brand new business operating out of Cape Town, South Africa. They came to us requiring a visual identity, website and social media presence to get up and running with.

We created a wordmark style logo with a custom icon to serve as a visual identifier on social media. We then designed a simple, streamlined website that would show visitors exactly what’s on offer and provide an easy way to get in touch to book a consultation. We also built Facebook and Instagram profiles populated with relevant content to start driving traffic to the new site. The website hasn’t been live long but it’s already generating a decent volume of quality, high-converting leads.

What We Set Out to Achieve

Our goal with these simple brochure sites was to provide fully responsive, search engine optimised websites that would give these businesses an excellent platform to build upon. No matter the budget or timeframe, everything that leaves our studio gets the same attention to detail and TLC to ensure it’s fully fit for purpose and has the best possible chance of achieving the desired result!
